Robert and Adele Osmond LA Scholarship

For continuing undergraduate students

The Robert and Adele Osmond LA Scholarship was established to assist in defraying tuition, fees, and additional expenses for deserving students who are participating in Columbia College Chicago's Semester in LA program, and who demonstrate financial need.

• How to be Considered

  No separate application is required.

  • All students who are accepted to a Fall or Spring Semester in LA program will automatically be considered for this scholarship.
  • Please visit the website for Semester in LA application information.
• Scholarship Terms
  • Maximum amount of this one-semester scholarship is $10,500
    • Scholarship funds are primarily applied towards tuition with a stipend to assist with travel and expenses related to the program. 
  • Recipient must enroll at full-time status in the Semester in LA program
  • Students’ scholarships that are applied toward tuition may not exceed the amount of their tuition costs
  • Recipient may receive the scholarship only during the semester in which they live in LA as part of the Semester in LA program and before they graduate
  • Students who elect not to attend the Semester in LA program will forfeit the scholarship
  • Recipient must adhere to the policies and procedures that are unique to the Semester in LA program
  • Recipient will be asked to participate in thanking the donor(s) before funds are disbursed
  • Recipient must have submitted all outstanding documents to Columbia Central before the scholarship can be disbursed. Students can review missing documents in the MyColumbia portal under MyFinancials
  • The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
  • Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to withhold the scholarship in any year in which, at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee, suitable candidates cannot be found
