Biography
Alison Beyer is an adjunct instructor in the Cinema and Television Arts Department who teaches Television history. An artist who regularly exhibits, Ali’s own artwork ranges from traditional 2-dimensional paintings and drawings to installations incorporating moving and still digital imagery as well as performative aspects. In addition to exhibiting their own work, Ali is also a Freelance Preparator/ Artist Assistant who has worked on exhibitions at galleries and museums throughout the Midwest & Ali works as a Teaching Arists with K-12 youth. Ali received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts & Media in 2008 from Columbia College Chicago as well as attending Minneapolis College of Art & Design for post-baccalaureate studies in the Visual Arts after earning an undergraduate degree in Studio Art with a double minor in Art History & Women's Studies from Edgewood College in Madison, WI.
