Biography
Rick Rizzo has been an instructor since 2010 in the Columbia College Chicago Music Department, first as a pop/rock styles ensemble director, then as an instructor for Songwriting 1.
Rick is founding member, singer, songwriter, and guitarist of eleventh dream day, a band born in the genesis of the American indie rock explosion of the early 1980s, continuing with the latest critically acclaimed double album, Since Grazed (2021). In addition to sixteen edd records (including three on Atlantic Records), he has also toured and/or recorded with Yo La Tengo, Smog/Bill Callahan, Will Oldham/Palace, Califone, Red Red Meat, Edith Frost, and Boxhead Ensemble, among others.
