Lauren Viera is an adjunct member of the English and Creative Writing Department, teaching within the Professional Writing program since 2007. Over the course of a long career in journalism, her articles have appeared in publications including the New York Times Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune, where was a staff writer. After leaving the Tribune, Viera was recruited to Leo Burnett Chicago as a copywriter on the agency's flagship brand, and currently writes and consults for various brands and corporations on an independent basis.
