Biography
Dr. Madhurima Chakraborty is Associate Professor in the English and Creative Writing Department, and teaches mainly in the Literature and Cultural Studies programs. Her research and teaching interests include Postcolonial, Indian Diaspora, and British literature. She edited (with Dr. Umme Al-wazedi) Postcolonial Urban Outcasts: City Margins in South Asian Literature, as well a Special Issue of South Asian Review on Nation and Its Discontents. Her scholarly work has been published in Literature/Film Quarterly, South Asian Review, and Journal of Contemporary Literature. Dr. Chakraborty recieved her Ph.D in English from the University of Minnesota.
