Biography
Adjunct Faculty, IAM Department, Motion Graphics DesignMichael Bohacz is, among other things, a freelance editor, motion graphics artist, sound designer. He has done work for Fox Sports Net, CBS Sports, XL! Marketing Communications, Video One Productions, Program Productions, Aesthetic Abstractions, William H. Birch & Associates, Thom Papanek & Associates, SMS Productions, as well as many other independent producers around the Chicago area. As a fringe transmedia conceptual artist he creates experimental television programs and has been featured in the documentary "Access Nation" for his experimental show "Abductions with the Alter Boy." He has taught production and editing classes at Columbia College Chicago since 1998, at Chicago Filmmakers since 2002, Harold Washington College since 2006. He also jams with his band Tin Godz.My video "The Machines Possessed Me (v1.5)" won the Best U.S. Experimental Short award in the July 2023 Austin International Art Festival. My music video "Arise Robot Minds (v1.2)" won Awards of Recognition in the November 29, 2022 Accolade Global Film Competition Music Video and Remixes/Mashups and Concept categories. My web series episode “Abductions with the Alter Boy: Robot Taboo Module 3” came in as a semi-finalist in the July 2023 Austin International Art Festival.B.F.A.
