Biography
Sanders-Weir is a documentary producer and director, teaching a variety of subjects for CTVA at Columbia, including TV program delvelopment, producing, and career management. Her independent directorial debut Gadget Girls was selected for the U.S. State Department’s American Film Showcase. She was series producer on America to Me, which premiered at Sundance and was named by the Hollywood Reporter as the best series of 2018. Her work has been nominated for Emmy, Oscar and NAACP awards. She is currently working on a documentary regarding the social equity aspect of recreational cannabis in Illinois, and one on the first woman to be elected to the US Senate. Sanders-Weir earned a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA from Columbia College.
