Biography
Adjunct Faculty Sarah Hammond teaches Writing for Children in the English and Creative Writing Department. She has published a teen novel, The Night Sky in my Head (Oxford University Press) which was shortlisted for four awards in the U.K. and was also published in Brazil, and a picture book, Mine! (Parragon). She holds a Master of Arts in Writing for Young People with Distinction from Bath Spa University, and a Law Degree from the University of Reading, England. She is a network representative for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in Illinois and is also a committee member for the Chapter’s annual conference.
