Biography
Zeline Kelly Bates is part of the adjunct faculty staff in the Communications department. She teaches Media Planning and Buying, Communication Ethics, and Communications Essentials.
Zeline is a successful marketing and media strategist, with strong communication and organizational skills. She prides herself in being able to identify and implement processes to stay on task and insure the success of marketing/media initiatives. She is an innovative thinker, results-oriented and excellence driven.
Zeline has worked in advertising and marketing for over 35 years. She has held management positions at Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson, Cunningham & Walsh and Burrell Communications Group. She establish her own media consulting firm, Media Dynamics, in 1994. Zeline’s broad-based experience encompasses every aspect of strategic media planning, media execution and the supervision and development of media management systems. Her expertise spans both the profit and non-for-profit sectors. She has developed comprehensive communication efforts for advertisers in businesses such as packaged goods, quick service restaurants, autos, colleges & universities, financial institutions, government, and community health & services.
Zeline is a graduate of Northwestern University, with a B.A. in English, and has a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University
