  • Gear up for certification and licensure exams Customize your degree plan with faculty support while taking courses in Deaf culture, and explore electives in theatre, art, literature, and history. While completing a two-semester practicum, gain hands-on experience and mentorship from licensed interpreters, and continue to enhance your language skills through immersive learning and elective courses. 
  • Get real-world experienceExplore interpreting within community settings and public services, and engage with diverse community-based projects and services. Get experience through collaborations with artists and performers, enhancing your expertise in interpreting within these creative fields. During your senior year, practice your skills in a school setting first semester and then second semester with a freelance interpreter or within a government or private organization.
