About the Creative Writing Program

Columbia College Chicago’s Creative Writing MFA program is a single, seamless program that allows you to explore multiple genres, including poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. This MFA supports hybrid writing that combines elements of more than one genre, fostering a rich literary history while encouraging innovative and exploratory approaches within a supportive and creative community.
