Return to Campus for Sick Individuals
In accordance with Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines, individuals who contract COVID-19 will have to stipulate that they have recovered before returning to campus.
Individuals symptomatic with COVID-19 can only return to campus if they meet the following conditions. By being on campus you are attesting that you are complying with testing and all other rules.
- They have isolated for 5 full days and will continue to wear a high-quality mask through Day 10 on campus and fever has resolved for at least 24 hours (without taking fever-reducing medications) and other symptoms are improving.
Asymptomatic individuals with a laboratory-confirmed positive COVID-19 test can only return if they meet the following conditions. By being on campus you are attesting that you are complying with testing and all other rules.
- Five days have passed since the date of their first positive COVID-19 diagnostic test, will continue to wear a mask on Days 6-10 at all times on campus, and they have not subsequently developed symptoms since their positive test.
These requirements also apply to contractors and other visitors to campus, who should provide the attestation to the campus department overseeing their work.
