“My goal with my photography is to depict what euphoria is to me. It was a word assigned to me in a photography class a couple of years ago, and since then, I’ve focused my work on capturing details that illustrate what I believe this emotion to mean. When I think of memories where I feel euphoric, the images are always bright and sometimes tinted with a color filter that gives the moment an ethereal feel. Because light plays a crucial role in my recollection of these memories, I focus on the lighting in my photos to bring that same sense of euphoria into the images.”

“Dream Workshop”
You know, if you want to make a dream
you might have to craft a little
Grab that brain of yours,
you know, the one that sits
behind your forehead
With that hand, yes,
the one you forgot held
crayons and markers as if
your little paws resembled those of
Van Gogh or Picasso if
you paid attention to Mrs. Green’s
3rd grade lesson, art history
If you don’t remember, let the talking
bear say a word of encouragement,
you know, he was your friend once
Don’t tell me you forgot
He’ll say buddy, friend,
Dreams are what make
you and me
And yes, when this has all
settled, drop that little brain––
or big, if you so mind
Let your mind drift like
Clouds
until they form objects like
cotton candy
It’s like coffee without
caffeine, it’s like, you know,
whatever you want it to be
