Columbia College Chicago is welcoming young creatives ages 15 to 18 to participate in the Summer at Columbia program.
Through this program high school students can take college-level courses from Columbia faculty members that can transfer for real college credits.
Students from around the U.S. and the world can take courses in Cinema and Television Production, Game Development, Illustration, and Photography.
“Before this course, I knew close to nothing on the subject,” says Alina, a 2020 alum of the Summer at Columbia program. “Now, I am confident in my work and in my career path that I’ve chosen.”
All students also learn about entrepreneurship through a creative lens and get exclusive access to the college’s resources and facilities. The program offers both commuter and residential options and this year runs from June 24 through July 19.
This opportunity allows students to explore their creative passions, gain confidence in their abilities, and begin planning their future.
“It absolutely changed my life. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me because of this experience,” says Mya, a program alum.
The program costs $3,450 for commuter students and $5,620 for residential students staying in housing. Payments can be made in installments. They open April 1 and are due by May 24.
