Columbia College Chicago Faculty, Alums Receive Jeff Awards
The Jeff Awards recently announced their 2020 Equity Jeff Awards recipients. The Joseph Jefferson Award is Chicago’s top award for theatre and the Equity Jeff Awards recognize individuals and ensembles in Chicago’s Equity theatre.
We would like to congratulate Columbia College Chicago alums A.C. Smith ’86 and Jeffrey Levin ’10, and faculty members Heather Gilbert and Jermaine Hill who were named as Equity Jeff Award recipients during the 52nd Annual Equity Jeff Awards Ceremony in November.
Theatre alum A.C. Smith won for Performer in a Supporting Role – Play for their role in King Hedley II (Court Theatre) and Music alum Jeffrey Levin won for Sound Design – Midsize for Grey House (A Red Orchid Theatre).
Theatre faculty members Heather Gilbert won for Lighting Design – Large for work in Bug (Steppenwolf Theatre Company) and Theatre faculty member Jermaine Hill won for Musical Direction for Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies (Porchlight Music Theatre).
