The Columbia Dance Center Awarded Chicago Arts Recovery Program Grant
The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago has been awarded a Chicago Arts Recovery Program Grant from the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
Supported by funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Chicago Arts Recover Program provides arts organizations with resources to examine and address ongoing challenges brought on or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last year the Dance Center received a CityArts program grant from DCASE to help fund the "Chicago Artists Spotlight Platform.” The project spotlighted 10 Chicago dance artists who each taught a class in their Chicago neighborhood, a virtual class, and were featured in a variety of public forums.
DECASE supports artists and cultural organizations, invests in the creative economy, and expands access and participation in the arts throughout Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods. To learn more about the department and their Cultural Grants Program click here.
