What would you say was the most surprising thing you learned at Columbia?

The most surprising thing I learned while at Columbia, was that I have a deep passion for saving our environment. Learning about the garment factories in third world countries has sparked a movement within me that I will forever thank Columbia for.

What experiences or courses at Columbia do you feel have been most beneficial?

My two study abroad experiences were the most beneficial. First the New York trip with Melissa Gamble, then two weeks in Bath, England with Virginia. I thrive on real world immersive activities, and Columbia exceeded my expectations.

What are your plans for after graduation?

My current after graduation plan consists of continuing my full-time floor manager position at Oak + Fort and thriving in Wicker Park. But my long-term goals include studying existing supply chains, and designing them in a new way, that produces less waste. Also having my own zero-waste company is a long-term goal.

Do you have any advice for current students?

THINK BIG! And don't ever doubt your ability to make a dream come true! I know it’s cliché, but you truly can do ANYTHING you set your mind to! It is going to take a lot of work, but if you are passionate and persistent, you can conquer just about anything!! Thank you to Columbia for an amazing four years!

If you were going to sum up your experience at Columbia in one sentence, what would you say?

Every major can learn something from another major, collaborative efforts were my favorite thing about this [college].
