Partner Organizations
Columbia's Fashion Lab is seeking partner organizations who want to engage with creative, highly-talented research teams to explore unique insights for their most pressing problems. All industries can benefit from fashion's methods, approaches, and ways of seeing both the body and the world.
As a partner organization, you'll work closely with Fashion Lab Director Colbey Reid to design a custom research project tailored to your specific questions. A group of hand-selected and well-trained students, led by an experienced faculty expert in the field, will apply rigorous, academic research methods to the defined topic. At the end of a 15-week semester, each partner organization will receive a full report and interactive, multimedia presentation based on original research, insights, and design prototypes.
Think of it as a low-risk way to inject fresh energy and perspectives into your organization.
Project examples include:
- Consumer ethnography
- Market intelligence
- Product prototyping
- Behavior experiments
- Pricing optimization
- Conjoint analysis
- Social media listening
Partner Organization Commitments
You'll become a partner organization on an annual basis through a charitable contribution to Columbia College Chicago. Your participation will include up to two projects per year, custom designed by a faculty researcher. Terms start in January or July.
To participate in the July 2019 term, we'll need your commitment by March 30, 2019.
