Columbia CPS Award

for incoming students

Students who graduate from Chicago Public Schools with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and are admitted to Columbia College Chicago are guaranteed a renewable Columbia CPS Award.

The Columbia CPS Award is open to:

  • Exceptional high school seniors who are enrolled at a Chicago Public School at the time of admission to Columbia, or who have graduated from a Chicago Public School no more than 12 months prior to admission
  • Admitted students entering for the first time in the Fall 2026 semester
  • Students who have earned a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

 Award based on:

  • Academic achievement

Renewable Award amount based on Chicago Public School Cumulative GPA:

  • 3.75 or higher: $18,000
  • 3.55 — 3.74: $17,500
  • 3.3 — 3.54: $17,000
  • 3.0 — 3.29: $15,000
  • 2.75 — 2.99 - $14,000

Notification of the scholarship:

  • Recipients will be notified by Admissions.
