Diversity and Inclusion Award

for continuing undergraduate and graduate students

The Diversity and Inclusion Award was established to encourage students to focus on the importance of diversity in higher education and in their experience at Columbia College Chicago specifically, while preparing them for life in a global society.

Deadline to Apply: February 01, 2025

 

The Diversity and Inclusion Award is open to:

    • Full-time undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 12 credits hours at Columbia by the end of the Fall 2024 semester
    • Full-time graduate students who complete a minimum of 9 credit hours at Columbia by the end of the Fall 2024 semester
    • Graduate students enrolled in a 0 credit hours thesis continuance course are not eligible
    • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
    • Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2025-26 FAFSA must be submitted by February 1, 2025 for Diversity and Inclusion Award consideration.
    • Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents

Note:
Full-time Columbia employees, graduate students whose full tuition amount is covered by another source, and graduate students-at-large are not eligible for the Diversity and Inclusion Award.

Award based on:

  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
Award amount:
  • Up to $4,000 (half awarded in Fall and half awarded in Spring)
Notification of the award:
  • All applicants will be notified by email in April/May 2025.
