Lucas and Sharon Palermo Memorial Scholarship
For continuing undergraduate students
The Lucas and Sharon Palermo Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Sharon Palermo by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and the Columbia School of Film and Television to encourage talented students interested in pursuing careers in the television industry.
Deadline to Apply: February 16, 2025
The Lucas and Sharon Palermo Memorial Scholarship is open to:
- Full-time undergraduate student studying within the School of Film and Television
- Undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 90 credit hours at Columbia by the academic year following application
- Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
- Students who demonstrate outstanding achievement
Scholarship amount:
- Up to $5,000
Scholarship based on:
- Academic merit
- Interview (part of application process)
Notification of the scholarship:
- Recipient will be notified by email.
