Michael Fryzlewicz Scholarship

for continuing undergraduate students

The Michael Fryzlewicz Scholarship was established to assist in defraying tuition costs for students majoring in American Sign Language to pursue careers in the field of interpreting.

Deadline to Apply: February 01, 2025

 

The Michael Fryzlewicz Scholarship is open to:

  • American Sign Language majors who complete at least 6 credit hours at Columbia by the end of the Fall 2024 semester and are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the Spring 2025 semester
  • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2025-26 FAFSA must be submitted by February 1, 2025 for Michael Fryzlewicz Scholarship consideration.
Scholarship based on:
  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
Scholarship amount:
  • Up to $3,000 (half awarded in Fall and half awarded in Spring)

Notification of the scholarship:

  • All applicants will be notified by email in April/May 2025.
