This six-week workshop concentrates on development of conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). Participants learn to accurately recognize and produce signs in ASL with appropriate non-manual behaviors and grammatical features. Workshop is a basic introduction to ASL, and participants develop expressive and receptive ASL skills through discussions of topics such as personal information, surroundings, residences, families, and activities. This workshop meets once a week and has two summer sessions. Our Deaf facilitator will run the workshop.
Who can join? This is an ideal workshop for families or work peers. Come and learn beginners ASL!
