Divided into five sections—Campus, Metro, Arts & Culture, Opinion and Sports, Health & Tech—The Columbia Chronicle employs students from a variety of majors and is a fully operational entrepreneurial entity, managing advertisements, sponsorships, social media and more.
In addition to being named the top weekly college newspaper in the country by the Society of Professional Journalists, The Columbia Chronicle’s editorial and visual content has consistently won awards and honors from highly-respected institutions such as the Illinois College Press Association, Associated Collegiate Press, Society for News Design and the College Newspaper Business and Advertising Managers, Inc. (CNBAM).
The newspaper employs students from a variety of areas, including Journalism, Advertising, Art and Art History, Design, Interactive Arts and Media, Cinema and Television Arts, and Photography.
